RESEARCH ACTIVITIES - Description used by investigators to specify their area of expertise.
Key words: genetics, genetic counseling, schizophrenia, psychosocial, bipolar disorder, early psychosis, family members
Research interests: Clinical applications of our increasing understanding of the role of genes and environment in the etiology of major psychiatric disorders like bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. I am particularly interested in understanding the genetic and environmental contributors to postpartum relapse in women with a history of these illnesses as a way of developing risk reduction strategies.
