Research interests: My primary area of research is on the topic of competency to stand trial. Competency to stand trial is a legal issue that ensures that a pretrial defendant has the capacity to assist in his or her own defense. A second area focuses on mental health assessment of pretrial inmates. A third area of research focuses on adolescents in the juvenile justice system.
