Research interests: My research is focused on Parkinson's disease, with functional neuroimaging. We study (i) the natural history of sporadic and genetic PD, compensatory mechanisms; (ii) mechanisms underlying complications of therapy in PD; (iii) mechanisms underlying the placebo effect and the relationship between expectation and dopamine release in the brain; (iv) in vivo imaging of gene expression in the brain.
